Looking a little reminiscent of the Grand Canyon, the lake at the San Luis Recreational Area is shown here with the water quite low. This view of the dam from Romero Visitor's Facilities shows the back side of the San Luis Reservoir and you can plainly see the striations left by the receding water as the water storage was used up in its annual fill and drain cycle.
