The Great Valley Grasslands park near Los Banos Ca. is an interesting and unique area set aside to preserve some of the last "intact" native grasslands in the San Jouquin Valley.

There is fishing and wildlife viewing to be had and in the spring the area puts on a show of floral beauty for park visitors that is not to be missed.

The vernal pools in the Great Valley Grassland Park are home to some unique species of shrimp. There are a number of endangered species that call this place home.
