In July of 2007 we had the pleasure of attending the 74th annual Italian Festival. It was held in the DES Hall which is where we attended the Portuguese Festa not too long ago.

We really enjoyed the afternoon and had a great meal consisting of a fantastic beef stew, beans, bread, and of course salad with Italian dressing.

After the meal they had an auction where several tables of some of the yummiest looking goodies were sold.

We had the opportunity to speak with one of the organizers and there is some chance that next year the 2008 Italian Festival will be the last. After 75 years of doing it, there seems to be a lack of people willing to come forward and keep this tradition alive - if I understood correctly.

We hope that this tradition will keep going, but if not we will be at next year's swan-song and we will have memories like the ones below of a very nice day.,,
