    This printable has some information about totem poles and some color and cut out totem pole parts. Paste the parts onto a paper towel tube to make your own totem pole!

    If you live near where salmon are and it's the right time of year, consider taking a field trip to see the salmon spawning. If it's not the right time of year, maybe you can schedule this trip later and just pull out your history pocket from this week to refresh your child's memory.

    If you don't live anywhere near any salmon, hopefully you can get a video from your local library!
