History Pockets supplies: Arctic ice fishing *straw, string, two magnet strips, tag board

Map notes: Arctic Circle map (Label the countries and land masses in the Arctic Circle) -goes with the Arctic lesson plan Science notes: The Arctic lesson plan has reading sheet, map, cutouts of carved animals, vocabulary, etc. See the book notes and study guide for the Tiktaliktak book for more science that is "tied" to the book. - Auroras, a loon coloring page, tides, etc.

Craft notes: Sugar Cube Igloo Project You can also mix 1/2 and 1/2 of glue and shaving cream to make "snow" for the scenery. It will dry in a nice 3-D puffy texture. Take a picture and put in your History Pocket or notebook.
