to chat and let their kids play. Children of all ages are welcome from infant

Preliminary P.E. Day. Please come Friday, Sept 1 to the College
Green Park from 12:30-2:30. We can play kick ball at the baseball field. Those
who don't want to play kick ball can play at the park.

San Francisco Field Trip:

will be leaving for the San Francisco activities at 6 a.m. from the KFC
on Pacheco Blvd. in Los Banos. We will also be meeting for the Titanic exhibit
at 1:30 p.m. Families
do not have to leave or stay together BUT we do all need to enter the Titanic
exhibit at the same time for the group discount.

Kenpo Karate is having a Demo / Buddy Day on Monday September 11. This is for
everyone ages 4 and up. If you come to this special event, you will get a free
lesson and a free uniform. Children must bring a parent. We will have demos at
4pm, 5pm, and 6pm. You can come at any of those times. Adults can come at 7pm.(
ages 12 and up) Connecting Waters families can use their funds to continue lessons
as this school is an approved vendor. This is a great class to use for PE. Hope

Civil
War Days at San Benito County Historical Park
1 mile south of Tres Pinos on
Hwy 25
Show
up, on or before 9:00 AM (it's best to arrive early) Count on at least two hours,
to see everything. We will be experiencing life in the 1800's, interacting with
soldiers, towns people & the doctor. There is a school, saloon and field hospital.
Bring a packed lunch. The only drawback, no battle reenactments on Friday, only
Saturday and Sunday. It is done this way, in hopes that the school children attending
on Friday, will convince their parents to return during the weekend. (See below
for the weekend details).

is where children and parents can share information with the CVHS group. Feel
free to share accomplishments, awards, favorite poems, articles, stories, words

for "The Nutcracker" in Hollister will be held Sept. 21-23 at Fremont School.
Only one rehearsal practice during the week & performances will be in December.
Please contact Jeanette (her children ages 21, 16 & 15, now in college, were home
schooled, she has a wealth of positive home schooling information & loves to chat)

in auditioning, she will reserve a section at the performance for our co-op in

Gizdich Ranch Field Trip - Meet at 8 a.m.
Details:
Join us for a one hour tour of Gizdich Ranch! Please bring bags or baskets for
apple picking. We'll also get to watch a video about cider pressing. If you get
hungry, there is a cafe available and a picnic grounds.
We also may stop by
Casa de Fruita on the way home to check out the play area and train rides!

Center
FREE tour of ranch and free horse back riding!

Directions:
Get on Mercy Springs (165) and stay on it until you reach Stevenson (right after
the 4 way stop sign). Go to your left you will se several signs about The Stevenson
Equestrian Center. Turn Left into the driveway where the sign and the mailbox
are and you are there!

Bully Busters seminar
at Kenpo Karate. They will be showing children 12 ways on how to walk away with
confidence. If you child was ever bullied or were bullies themselves, this would
be a great seminar to attend. Even though all of us are homeschoolers, still sometimes
our children are bullied on playgrounds, etc.
Times are at 4pm, 5pm, or 6pm.
Parents should attend so you can help to reinforce what they learn.

Art is due for the
Ted Falasco Center.
You can submit anything you'd like to display incuding
but not limited to: watercolors, oils, sculptures, fabric arts, and jewlery. Art
must be framed or matted for hanging (except for 3-Dimensional art). The piece
you submit must be "good"; in other words don't send in anything that's
just an arts & craft project, etc. Contact Leah from the CVHS list for more

Sonora Bach Festival will kick off its 30th week-long festival in the Sonora Opera
Hall with “Bach-Around-the-Clock”, 9:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. A free admission, full
day with multiple artistic experiences revolving around art, music and history
for Sonora-area youth and their families. This event is about performing and experiencing
music, capturing the joy and passion of all music by participating in making music
