trip prices are $10.00 on the ranch - signup by 8:00 a.m. and leave promptly at
9:00. Bring water, snacks, clothing suitable for hard- rock mining, including
goggles, gloves, etc. Regarding Camping: Campsites are "dry"- fees are $10.00
per night

FAMILY FESTIVAL: Indigenous Cultures Day at the Haggin Museum in Stockton
The
whole family is invited Saturday, May 12, 1:30-4 p.m. for a special day of fun,
music and activities exploring the indigenous cultures of Mexico and South America.
Activities will include clay sculpture, amate paper silhouettes, personal hieroglyphics,
metallic animal sculptures and Huichol yarn painting. Visitors will also learn
about the geoglyphs from the Nazca plains of Peru and enjoy bilingual music and

- Kids' Fishing and Fun Day at San Luis Reservoir Saturday, 8:00 a.m. until 12:00
noon Los Banos: Fun will be the "catch of the day" on Saturday, May 12th at San
Luis Reservoir. The 18th Annual Kids' Fishing and Fun Day, hosted by Department
of Water Resources and California State Parks staff and volunteers, will be held
at San Luis Creek's South Beach on the O'Neill Forebay. Come enjoy a morning of
fishing on the `lake'. Young anglers 15 years of age and younger may sign in from
8:00 a.m. on. Free bait is provided. Also, each participant will receive a free
lunch and other goodies.. There will be free pontoon boat rides. Plus, kids may
try `gyotaku' the Japanese art of fish printing. Merchandise donated by local
businesses will also be awarded as door prizes, starting at noon. Please call

26 - Curriculum Sale / New & Used Books Hosted by C.H.I.L. (Christian Homeschoolers
in Lodi).
We hope you can join us for our first book sale. This is a great
opportunity for us to pull our resources as homeschoolers, look at potential curriculum
for next year, sell completed curriculum and fellowship with one another at the
same time! This sale is open to all homeschoolers in the area.
**Please note:
There will be no childcare available during the sale. All children must stay with
their parents at all times. For your convenience we will have a snack bar available!

Details for ALL sellers: ~Please arrive at the church at 8:00am to
set up the day of the sale. ~You are responsible for setting up your own table
and all the transactions that occur with your curriculum ~Please bring enough
change to accommodate your table ~Have your items marked prior to the sale. ~The
tables are expected to be available and manned from 9am - 3pm. Please plan on
having someone there to represent your table the entire time. ~Clean up of your
area will be your responsibility. ~Children are welcome, but will be expected
to stay with an adult at all times. We have no child care available!
