All of March - February 28 - April 19 - Path Of The Padres Guided Hikes: See this post in the forums section for many more details included in the press release..
"Los Banos: The California State Park staff at San Luis Reservoir State Recreation Area will again be leading the popular "Path of the Padres" hikes on some Fridays and most Saturdays and Sundays starting February 28th and continuing until April 19th. " These hikes are open to the public, ages 6 years and older, by advance reservation only. School group hikes may be arranged for Fridays. School group reservations and general public reservations are now open. (We must have ten people to conduct a tour). The hike begins at the Los Banos Creek Reservoir boat launch ramp at 8:00 A.M. and returns to the ramp about 3:30 P.M. A pontoon boat carries passengers for about 30 to 40 minutes to the west end of the reservoir. Along the way, short stops are made so the hikers can observe wildlife along the shoreline."

March 1 - Charleston Enchilada Sale will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the D.E.S. Hall. Tickets are being sold by students with the price at $6 per pan with 2 enchiladas per pan. March 1 - The Annual Book and Rummage Sale at St. Alban's Anglican Church will be held on March 7th from 8:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. A presale will be held the night before, March 6th, from 5-8 p.m. The events will take place at the Church Parish Hall located at 401 West L (corner of Illinois) in Los Banos. Donations of clean usable items are welcome. Proceeds from the sale support the numerous outreach programs of the Church. The Vicar/Pastor is the Rev. John Combs. March 4- The first Wednesday of each month is the regular dinner meeting night of the Los Banos Sportsmen’s Association. Guests are welcome.

March 5 -The Community Prayer Group is a non denominational group of people of faith from many different congregations who meet on the first Thursday of each month at 1PM. March 6 - Arbor Day breakfast fundraiser will be hosted by the Milliken Museum Society from 7 to 10 a.m. at the Miller & Lux building (830 6th Street). Tickets are $7 and can be purchased at the Miller & Lux building or Los Banos Flower Shop. Tickets will not be available at the door. Breakfast will be pancakes, scrambled eggs and ham.

March 6 - Arbor Day Celebration will be held at 4 p.m. at Snowgoose and North Creekside Avenue in the park. Trees will be planted and the Los Banos High School jazz band will be performing.

March 10- Challenged Support Group A parent support group offered through Challenged Family Resource Center. March 18, 19 & 20th - First Baptist Church (809 D Street) will be holding a musical workshop at 7 p.m. each night. Registration is $10 per person and is open to anyone wating to learn singing techniques and gospel songs. March 20-22 - CBRC Dog Field Trials
There will be an field trial at the Los Banos refuge (off Henry Miller-Main refugee) starting on Friday and running through Sunday.  "This trial is being put on by the American Chesapeake Club. Trials are a bit different than the AKC Hunt Tests you have reported on but you will see fantastic dog and handler work with 4 different stakes running.  Many professional trainers and handlers will be there including those who are local and those from Washington, Montana and Oregon to name a few.  If you love the outdoors and enjoy watching magnificent animals, you might want to stop by and see what's happening."

March 21 - Twilight Volvo Pics- Tiffany Kuhne, winner of the "Twilight" Volvo is helping Target raise money for the 2009 Relay for Life event. Get your picture taken with the vehicle for $2.

March 28 - Pacheco State Park 6th Wildflower Day will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be a Wildflower Game Day and free craft tables. A birding walk starts at 9:30 a.m. and a wildflower hike will depart at 10 a.m. and a Pacheco history walk will start at noon. Sign ups are first come first served. Visitors can also take a self guided hike. D & J Catering will have lunch and beverages available from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Cost for the event is $5 per car. Directions: take the Dinosaur Point Road exit off of Highway 152, 25 miles west of Los Banos. The park is at 38787 Dinosaur Point Road.

March 28 - Cesar Chavez march will start at noon at City Hall, 520 J Street. Speeches and performances in honor of Cesar Chavez will take place at the park.

March 29 - The Central Valley Fast Draw Club has made the last Sunday of each month their club shoot day!
Shoots will start at 9:30 am with the shooter sign in and shooter meeting, with a prompt start at 10 am.

Course Notes:
This is a combination course, where we first do the pre-course assessment,then the NRA Trainers Course, followed by the NRA Basic course. A Deposit of 50% is required prior to the course.
