July 1 - The first Wednesday of each month is the regular dinner meeting night of the Los Banos Sportsmen’s Association. Guests are welcome.

July 2 -The Community Prayer Group is a non denominational group of people of faith from many different congregations who meet on the first Thursday of each month at 1PM. July 14- Challenged Support Group A parent support group offered through Challenged Family Resource Center. The group meets at St. John's Lutheran Church at 1:00 p.m. every second Tuesday of the Month. All parents with a child or children with a disability are invited to attend. July 16 - Los Banos Golden Ager's Meatloaf Dinner will be held at the faigrounds' exhibit building. No-host cocktails begin at 4:30 and dinner starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are $8 for members and $9 for non-members. Tickets must be purchased at Miller & Lux by July 10.

July 16 -17- 18 - 19 - Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Annual Celebration will be held at St. Joseph CAtholic Church. The Tridium begins at 7 p.m. followed by Mass on the 16th and 17th. On July 18, Rosary and Mass begin at 5 p.m. On July 19 there will be Mass at 11 a.m. and then afterwards, the community is invited to a free lunch at the D. E. S. Hall in Los Banos with an auction afterwards. The celebration ends at 4:30 p.m. at St. Jospeh Catholic Church.

July 17 - Cards for a Cause poker tournament will be held at 6:30 p.m. at teh Pacheco Power Center at 1560 E. Pacheco Blvd. The tournament will require a $75 donation and will include dinner. Please bring your own drinks. For more information or to buy tickets call Ricky at 209-752-9163.

July 18 - Santos Ford Showdown and Sock Hop, a Benefit Event for Caidyn Lee set for July 18, 2009 Santos Ford opens its doors to you and its heart to Caidyn Lee from 8am to midnight.

July 24 - 25 - Youth Overnight Camp sponsored by Los Banos Ministries will be held at Camp Joy Ranch located in the foothills west of Los Banos just off of Pacheco Pass. Registration will happen at Camp Joy Ranch around 5 p.m. and costs $20. This includes all activities and meals. The camp is for boys and girls ages 8-17 and will include activities like horseback riding, fishing, swimming, arts & crafts, camp songs, Bible lessons and much more. July 25 - Dance Explosion is having their first Dance Recital and would like the public to come enjoy our show. It will be at the Lorena Falasco Auditorium on Sat., July 25th at 5:45. The theme is Madri Gras and everyone can catch some beads, enjoy the atmosphere, and watch our Tiny-Tots through Seniors perform the routines they have worked so hard at mastering this year. Our Competition Teams took home some wonderful awards this season and would love to entertain you. Wander over and feel the magic of the French Quarter and the electrical charge these dancers produce. Tickets are $6.00 each through the 10th. $8.00 there after and at the door. Refreshments will be sold. This is great family entertainment. Let us see you there!

July 25 FREE Children's Health and Safety Fair will be held from 9 a.m. to 12 noon at the Los Banos Fairgrounds. There will be a bicycle rodeo for children from 9 a.m. to noon where children will learn the rules of riding a bike and safety.

July 25 - 5K Tiger Fun Run will be held at the Los Banos Fairgrounds. Benefits go to the Los Banos High School Cross Country Team. Registration begins a 7 a.m. and the race starts at 7:50 a.m. There will also be a 1 mile family run at 8:15 a.m. The course closes at 9 a.m. and there will be rewards handed out at 9:30 a.m.

July 25 - Community Solutions Meeting at 2 p.m. at Sportsmens on Mercey Springs -Cancelled

July 26 - The Central Valley Fast Draw Club has made the last Sunday of each month their club shoot day!
Shoots will start at 9:30 am with the shooter sign in and shooter meeting, with a prompt start at 10 am.
The community is welcome!
The location is at 13659 Badger Flat Rd.

July 27 - Replacement Blood Drive for Caidyn Lee, Monday July 27th 2009 3pm-7pm at the Veteran's Memorial Hall 615 E. Street, Los Banos Ca 93635.  For information or to sign up contact Debbie Furnish (209)631-9498.  Donors must be in good general health, weigh a minimum of 110 pounds and be at least 17 years old (16 years old with written parental consent).  Senior Citizens are encouraged to donate, as there is no upper age limit.  Donors should eat a good meal and drink plenty of water within 4 hours prior to their donation.  Donors can give blood every eight weeks.  Photo ID and Social Security Number are required at donor registration.  Central California Blood Center-for blood drive information call Darla Silvera (559)288-6319.

July 31 - Small Business Roundtable will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Memorial Hospital Los Banos Board room in the Administrative Support Services Building. This roundtable is free. Bring your own lunch. The floor will be open for discussion. Bring your suggestions and thoughts about what works well for businesses in Los Banos.

And working with other Veterans organizations for the betterment of the Veterans with special needs.

Fitness for active seniors class - This free class taught by John Spevak will be held at the Los Banos Merced College Campus. Classes start Sept. 3 and will occur every Wednesday and Friday morning from 8:30 -10 a.m. Classes will be held in room B-136.

Teen childbirth education is offered at Memorial Hospital every Thursday afternoon from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Patients can enroll at any time by calling 209-826-0591, ext. 270.

Senior's Arts, Crafts and Quilting Class from 9 AM to 12 noon and 1 PM to 3 PM. Classes are held at 830 6th Street. Call 827-7046 for more information.

Farmer's Market is held every Saturday until September 19th at Henry Miller Plaza from 7:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. WIC and EBT accepted. For more information call 209-389-0430.

Fitness for active seniors class - This free class taught by John Spevak will be held at the Los Banos Merced College Campus. Classes start Sept. 3 and will occur every Wednesday and Friday morning from 8:30 -10 a.m. Classes will be held in room B-136.

Bethany Community Church has started a Christian youth book club. The club meets each Saturday at 4 p.m. at 401 West L St. The book club accepts members ages 13-18. The group is directed by Lori Kyle. For more information about the club or on how to join you can call Elvira Grimes at 489-4969.
