The Fourth of July is celebrated in Los Banos Ca in many ways. Independence day is a big event for the town and the Chamber of Commerce plans for it and puts a ton of work into it for many months in advance.

For 2008 the 4th of July will include the usual fireworks at the Spring Fair site as well as the display of personal Safe And Sane fireworks by individual citizens. Yes firework stands are LEGAL in Los Banos.

Where to Buy Safe and Sane Legal Fireworks in Los Banos

The legal sale of of personal fireworks will begin high noon June 28 and ends at 8PM on July 4, 2008. Fireworks will be for sale at a number of non proffit firework stands in Los Banos.

Events! What to do and Where to go to see Fireworks in Los Banos

July 4 - 4th of July at the Fairgrounds starts at 4 p.m. Call 209-826-2495 for more info.

• 10am Golden State Gunslingers host an Independence Day Shootout to benefit a terminally ill 15 year old from a Texas fast draw family. Finals at 1 PM
• 4pm - Flag Raising by Girl Scouts, Councilman Tom Faria sings the National Anthem. Food, dry good and info booths open.
• 4-6pm Shout Performing Arts.
• 4:30 watermelon eating contest sign ups
• 5pm Karaoke sign ups
• 6-8pm JC Starstruck's Karaoke.
• 8-9pm Local Singer Songwriter Terrry M Brown and Tom Faria's band who performed at Relay for Life will play until shortly before the fireworks display.

July 4th - Aerial Fireworks Display 9PM at the Merced County Spring Fairgrounds aka the Los Banos Fairgrounds 12th Annual Old Fashioned Fireworks Show - For more information call 1-209-826-2495

July 4th - As part of the fourth of July celebrations at the Los Banos Fairgrounds there wil be a karaoke contest where you can win prizes from 6:30-8:30 PM.

July 4th - SHOUT ARTS presents performances by Carmen Morales, "Velcro By Design" local rock band, along with an acoustic guitar performance from 4:00PM to 6:00 PM at the Merced County Spring Fairgrounds aka the Los Banos Fairgrounds

July 4 - Golden State Gunslingers Town Alley event!!! 10 shots for $5.00.... You get to shoot "outlaw" style.... gun at your side.... wait for the light.... and shoot!! (Instruction and safety chat provided!) Adults and kids over 12 WITH a parent present can come out and shoot... AND!!! a portion of the money raised goes to Relay for Life!!! At the fairgrounds.
